Hello everyone, bookmarks for this week are up. This week I focused on creating the beach bar from the first image and doing fixes/improvements.

Tasks done:

  • Tiling of Cliffs now correct and repetition invisible
  • Beach Bar Modelling / UVs
  • Beach Bar Wood Texture Creation in Substance Sampler
  • Beach Bar Texturing in Substance Painter
  • Gameplay Character replaced with Leartes Character

This week I tried to improve various things around the environment and create some alcohol to accompany the bar.

Tasks done THIS WEEK:

  • Fixed Cliffs Texture (TIiling, Minimising visible repetition, updated normal map in Substance Sampler)
  • Vertex Painting on Church
  • Foliage Painting/fixes (Top of Cliffs, Higher Density, Disable Align to Normal, Palm Trees Variation)
  • Church Interior
  • Bar (Fixes, More damaged texturing)
  • Bottles (Modelling, Texturing, Setting up Refraction in Unreal)
  • Color Grading (Textures, Post Process Volume)

  • Matching Cliffs textures better to the Reference
  • Perfecting of Church UVs to better match real-life Bricklaying Work
  • Vertex Painting redone with those new UVs
  • Preparation of showcase images of various textures/models/UVs for ‘TheRookies’ Contest.
  • Lighting Changes to Sun and Church Interior
