Triggering Animations from an Actor Blueprint using Sequencer?

Hey all,
I’ve got an Actor Blueprint set up (NPC) and I’m trying to trigger animations via sequencer but for some reason, it’s not working. The animations are all accessible, but they don’t trigger or playback when I scrub the timeline. All the tutorials I’ve found show how to trigger animations on a skeletal mesh and not an Actor Blueprint. Just wondering what I’m missing.
