Trees/planting/vegetation?

Hi all,

I’m working for a landscape architects, currently doing some UE4 tests which look really promising.

It’s really important to have a good tree/plant library, we have lots of Xfrog stuff for rendering in 3ds Max, we also use Lumion which has a good library. It looks like it’s pretty difficult to import the 3ds Max trees and convert them, considering light maps and texture mapping. Where do you go for the best trees & planting? - is speedtree still the best plugin?.. which others are there?.. I know Evermotion have produced some tree libraries but we would need a much larger library.

speedtrees with megascans atlases is probably the most realistic you can get for ue4! Here’s their foliage texture library and it’s constantly evolving. https://megascans.se/library/types/atlas

Could you just elaborate on ‘speedtrees with megascans atlases’, is this a particular type of workflow?.. I tried out some of the free meshes from megascans some weeks ago in 3ds Max, really impressive, thanks for the tip.
