so, I have had this issue for quite a long time now. I am very new to UE-5 and I would like to fix it somehow but the solutions I tried from this or other forums didn’t bring the results I needed. I am giving an ss to show what I mean, I have a mesh imported from Maya by fbx, and I can’t seem to find a way to just have it clear, the topology is good, the UVs are correct, it’s not nanite, I can’t find the solution…
when I import the mesh and select to create skeletal mesh, those spots are black, when I pick to not make a skeletal mesh they are transparent, same spots, same parts.
pls help
The normals on the model are all correct, it’s weird because it’s not the whole parts it’s just some faces randomly. my process was just clicking the import button and selecting the mesh and either clicking or not clicking to create a skeletal mesh. I did scale it in unreal because it was really small, but now I also just changed the size in Maya, saved again, and tried it without scaling and the issue is still there, thanks for the reply.
I am facing the same issue. The weird thing is it’s only happening in one machine but when I am importing it on another machine the mesh is loading fine.
