Can you not use translucent materials with UMG??
I was trying just set the background to be a different tint when you paused the game and went to the pause menu. I created a panel and covered the whole box and set a material. If it has any opacity at all it just doesn’t show up.
And when in UMG, how do you set certain images or buttons to be on top of others???
It’s been a while sense this was asked with no answer so im assuming there’s something wrong with the engine or its not possible yet. That’s a shame.
If someone else knows more about this please let me know.
The responses on this site unfortunately aren’t nearly as frequent as they were 6 months ago.
Seems like Translucent materials (default lit/unlit) doesnt work with UMG for the moment .
i’m trying to splash blood on the screen depending on the damage the player takes , which needs translucent material .
For now i used Masked material which actually works with UMG , and it looks horrible !!!.
