Hi there,
I’ve been teaching myself Unreal for the past few months and I am stuck on something. The tutorials that I’ve found on ragdoll animation don’t explain what I’m trying to achieve because they’re mostly aimed at game creation. Essentially, I need one of the characters in my scene to be shot in the head by a T-Shirt cannon. The projectile with be a cloth object and when it strikes the subject, they react to the projectile and gravity/ragdoll take effect.
How would I achieve the animation to ragdoll transition in my sequencer (keeping in mind that this is for an animation, not for a game)? Also, do I need to create keyframes for the path of my cloth projectile or can I give the projectile velocity, similar to Blender/C4D?
Hey @StrappyMane! Welcome to the forums!
In theory you should be able to have your assets controlled by physics in sequencer. Check out this non-Epic affiliated tutorial that shows how to simulate physics (ragdolling) in the sequencer:
I hope the above points you in the direction you need!
