Transferring ARK Dev Kit from an External HDD to SSD

Hi

I’m wanting to download the ARK Dev Kit for UE4 as I want to use it for a project at my university. However, my home internet is painfully, painfully slow.

I started downloading the Dev Kit at home and it’s downloading at around 230kbps. Majority of you will know that a 77GB download with this speed is not OK. So I had an idea of downloading the Dev Kit onto my external 1TB HDD at my university as the internet speed is good there, however I’m just a bit concerned about the install itself. Will my home PC recognise that I have the Dev Kit if I transfer the folder from my external HDD to the Unreal Engine directory on my SSD? I don’t want to download and transfer it to then see the Epic Games launcher not recognising it.

Thanks very much

Download it all > hook up the drive to your PC > transfer files to your ADK folder > over-write > profit.
