I recently bought a new pc. I am trying to move my plugins from the engine folder (program files) from the old pc to the new one.
Unfortunately it’s not showing up after transferring them.
Is it possible to just copy them, or do I need to reinstall everything manuall y?
Plugins are just files, so copying them should work fine. The only problem might arise if they have some built in authentication / licensing system.
The plugins might try calling an external server passing over information about the pc. If your MAC address of your network card or some sort of pc hardware hash changes due to new pc parts this might cause a mismatch in the licensing details.
