Training Stream - Tank Vehicle - March 17th, 2015

Maybe just release it undocumented for now… I’m fine with figuring out what you did… at least it finally gives me a decent place to start with a tracked vehicle.

I wouldn’t mind if you released it undocumented, it doesn’t even need comments, I just need to see the Blueprint.

Oh c’mon, we already have one tank tutorial. I think its pretty understandable that there are some more important things.

how’s the update coming along, Alan? Still mired in other work? Props either way and looking forward to it when it arrives.

There is a great working tank in UT3. Why can’t we have that from Ued3 in UE4? What is the issue, that even Epic staff can’t make a similar thing withing one year?

Lol. Sorry. We won’t be releasing it.

The trouble with vehicles is that they are very application specific. What works for one game probably won’t work for another, (as evidenced by the lengthy vehicle discussion threads on the forums.)

The tank I put together was fine for what I wanted to accomplish at the time, but probably would not meet the expectations of others. Too complex for some, not complex enough for the rest. I would probably approach certain aspects in a much more different fashion were I to create it today.
