good people, I’ve been making this scene for a few days, and initially I wanted it to be a static scene just with swaying trees, that I would turn into a live wallpaper. now that I look at it, it would be cool to make the train come in from the distance and pass by the camera, then come back in the other direction. can anyone point me in right direction about how to animate the train to follow the tracks? I’ve found some info back from 2014 which involves spline path (tracks) and math function to calculate tangent on the spline to put the train there. is that still a valid method (Animating a train along a track - Character & Animation - Unreal Engine Forums)? what would be the best way to connect the locomotive with the wagons (still modelling them) and make the wheels turn? oh, and while you’re at it, comments on the scene and how to improve it are welcome. I know, many questions, but I’m noob about anything not static in UE4 so, yeah… :-DDD
I managed to do what I wanted using path in Sequencer. much simpler than blueprints, duh! anyway, here’s the preview. I’ll attach wagons once they’re done…
That’s really cool. How do you go about transferring it to a live wallpaper? Do you just record it, or is there a way to export it into something like a wallpaper?
im actually pretty interested in making my own now!
