Tracking system, something like an advanced perception trigger.

I’m trying to make a game with superpowers, not just powers that would apply to the person I mean powers that would actually do damage to a player. One big issue is that I have no way to choose a specific player to do this damage to, so I’ve had to work around and just damage everyone in a zone. My idea is something like an advanced perception trigger, If I had one way to assign a perception trigger to a player? It would work a lot better. For example: If I assigned a perception trigger to a certain team, and the attacking player looks at the team with the assigned trigger, then I could assign the damage volume to activate on that channel.

Something to be aware of with the perception trigger - when I tried to use it for enemies to fight - it only works over a fairly short distance, after that it just doesn’t see the player(s). At least that’s what i found when trying it.

It’s too short a range for what I need.

Ideally the range should be configurable, maybe with the current range being the default.
