Trace based on Screen Location?

Hi,

Is there any way to trace based on the Viewport and straight forward?

Basically, I want to trace and check if there’s stuff within a certain region of the screen. E.g.:

The closest thing I have now is a growing Mesh starting at the camera, but that’s just an ugly hack and not very exact and impossible to tweak.

Help would be appreciated.

But if I do that, it’ll trace a smaller part of “the screen” as it gets further away, right?

How far you looking for the trace, endless?

I would prefer to have a range set. So for example; the screenspace assigned (like on the first image), from the camera and X units straight ahead. :slight_smile:
