Torque in a custom vehicle system is unrealistic




I’m working on a vehicle system that uses physics constraints rather than the Chaos Vehicle Plugin, but I’ve hit some bumps in the road in terms of development. The torque is divided by the gear ratio, and angular speed of the physics constraint is multiplied by the gear ratio, but unlike in the real world, where torque and speed are inversely correlated, the more torque given to the wheels results in increased speed.
