Alright I apologise cause I’m sure this is a simple fix I feel like I once did it a couple years ago and I can’t for the life of me remember how I did it.
I’ve spent a couple hours going through forums looking but I’m coming up short.
Here is my Issue
I’ve been editing my 2d top down game in Top View for a year while I’ve been working on it.
but a recent Plugin error has forced me to rebuild the game from 5.0 to 5.4.
The problem is whenever i zoom in closer to get a better look it clips out the items
at first i thought it might be a sprite thing but it’s clipping volume bounds as well.
Now I have played with Near Clip Plan and Minimum Orthographic Zoom to no success. (I’ve restarted the editor after each of the changes)
any help would be of assistance.
and thank you for taking the time to read this
Not sure what happened but now it seems to be working.
only thing I started doing is changing some of the default materials from translucent to masked. I never had them as translucent but maybe during migration to U.E5.4 they changed.
also changed the default import project settings for them
the other thing i did was set viewport to 4 views and then zoomed on the topview.
again not certain this was the fix but it’s working.
However just playing with the viewports seemed to get it to work again so not sure what’s going on.
could possibly be an editor bug. will keep playing and see what i can come up with
