TopDown aim Offset

Hi people
I am having some trouble getting the aim offset on a top down to be accurate, I’m using a very similar setup to the GASP, I am using the root bone Offset. I have tried a few deferent setups, but no luck, it’s never accurate, probably the most successful method is to just use a control rig with an Aim control node, but it’s still not accurate, I have looked on the net, but all suffer from the same problem.
any advice would be good

i just use FindLookAtRotation and TransformBone on spine_03 for a ‘good enough’ effect.

im going off memory now but you have to invert and switch the Y i think, i assume its converting from world space to bone space or something but never looked into it

Yah, I have tried that, but it doesn’t handle the Z very well i will try it again but from memory it didn’t work

So, I ended up switching back to an Aim Offset and using a Control Rig with an Aim node for Spine 1 and just setting the Alpha to .1, the Control Rig seem to make to Aim Offset set more accurate, its not 100% but its much better and you can’t rally see that it not
