it is not necessary to use control point in laser scan project. But it depends if you want to add images into the project, if you want to use coordinates of some coordinate system or just local coordinates. But the scan are already scaled, so basically the model from them is scaled, too.
Regarding your second question, the markers can be generated only from opened project. To do so, it can be any project with images in it. But to be sure, do you want to just generate the markers to print them and use them in another project?
Hi @OndrejTrhan, thank you for your answers. As for the markers, I want to generate and print them for my first project in reality capture. I don’t have an existing project to open it and generate the markers.
You can create a new project just by adding any images into RealityCapture and then you will be able to generate the markers.
