Hi all!
Like many others, I have noticed that, in Unreal, there is no way to enable the camera vertical tilt correction in an easy way (a very common “effect” used when taking Architectural Visualization images, for example), so I have started working a little on a blueprint to do it easily, and in any project or Cine Camera.
Some info and How to use (also inside the example map included, so you can read from there too):
General instructions:
To apply the vertical tilt lenses correction to any Cine Camera, you simply need to place a Tilt-Blueprint
into the scene and assign the Cine Camera target (through the blueprint’s public variable) to be corrected
It works too for simple sequences travelling, when keeping the same horizon line and zoom
To capture a Still, you can use the common High Resolution feature, but you should increase the Screen Percentage to get a sharp result,
OR, you can simply press the Play or Simulate button to take all your tilt-corrected screenshots automatically
To capture Sequences, you can use the Sequencer’s ‘Render Movie’ button, but you should check the Tilt-Blueprint’s public variable ‘Force Sequences Offline Rendering’,
OR, you can press the Play or Simulate button to automatically play the video-sequence and to capture it by yourself
