Too Many Bones, What to do?

Howdy Everyone,

I created this character in Character Creator, which works with iClone. I exported it, and find that it has way too many bones.

This isn’t a problem when I apply motions to it. In fact, it works perfectly in that regard.

The problem is that when I simulate ragdoll physics, all hell breaks loose. In fact, the character fly all over the place. I remove some bones, but the result was not ideal, as it turned to rubber and with the remaining bones still doing their thing, they scattered and my charter was on two different continents,

Any thoughts on how to clean this up?
