TMNT Mayhem | Unreal Engine 5.5




I always wanted to do a TMNT animation. I enjoyed this one!
I think some time in 2025, I’m going to hire a stunt team to do a 10 minute action scene until then enjoy this edit lol!

Below is break down of the tools I used, let me know if you would want to see a breakdown video.

  • Turtle Models from Art Station
  • Rigging: ACCURIG
  • Colorspace: ACES CG and converted to 709 in Davinci
  • Facial: There was no facial mocap
  • Lighting: Atlux (UE plugin) + Post Process Volume
  • Snow: EASY SNOW by @WilliamFaucher
  • Audio Designer: @jabbu_jake (IG)
  • Color Grading and Post Effects: DaVinci
  • Animation Clean-Up: Reillusion Iclone 8 but then ended using UE Control rig
  • Render: Unreal 5.5
  • Path tracer @ 258 Samples
  • Rendering Hours: 5 hours total going back and forth
    Technical Details: 128GB RAM + 4090 GPU - final files rendered on a Nvme 2.0 7k/mpbs drive

What a truly charming project. Really like the animation for the combat - it looks so fluid and impactful. Can’t lie though, the muskrat popping up made me wheeze laugh. So funny :joy: What inspired this mayhem if you don’t mind me asking? :turtle:
