TMNT Guidlines

Hello guys, I accidentally took the TMNT template in UEFN and already built a lot. But I dont want 15% of my earnings to go to paramount. If i dont use TMNT content expect the the Island Template, then there is no deduction?

Hello,

Good question, I opened a TMNT projects ‘.uefnproject’ file in notepad and am noticing the line "featureSet": "MeltedIronGFS"

I wonder if you remove this line, are you still able to see/place TMNT content?

I doubt it would change project type on https://create.fortnite.com/ though.

It should be possible to copy your existing content into a new non-tmnt template.

ok ty, but how i can copy my project and change the template?

It’s not clear to me how a project gets flagged as a TMNT/LEGO/etc island on Epic servers. So unless you can find a way to remove the tag when viewing it on the create.fortnite.com interface I don’t know if changing a template type would be possible.

Try creating a new non-tmnt template. Copy the content from your TMNT project C:\whereyoustoreuefnprojects\yourprojectname\Plugins\yourprojectname\Content into your new project. You can also try having both projects open at the same time and copy-pasting between them.

Thank you very much, but how can i open my project in the Editor/Notepad

You’re welcome!

Your .uefnproject file is located in

C:\whereyoustoreuefnprojects\yourprojectname\ folder.

Right-Click on it and click ‘Edit in Notepad’ or Open With → (Any text editor)

Be careful not to break the formatting! (every quote and comma is important)

ok ty, but what is if it doesnt work. Is it bad then if the line is missing?

My theory is that line is what allows your project to see (in the content browser) and place (no validation failures) TMNT assets, but there is still the strong possibility that it’s set as a TMNT project at a deeper/server sort of level.

it doesnt worked but ty :frowning:

hey, i did it! I copied the Whole map into another template. I cant Place TMNT stuff anymore! And at the Epic games creator site is the type UEFN. I followed this Tutorial: https://youtu.be/_ny8DBWTijw?si=UNyYt7gu7Xs0UhNW

Glad to hear it! Thanks for following up and sharing video. I should have suggested Migrate in the first place. (Makes more sense in the context of UEFN where everything is probably in one map as opposed to UE based projects where things are spread out over many maps)
