hi,
my TM filesize was 1,2 GB . i imported some more small objects with 100 frame animations in .glb format. i made one individual decal that i instance copied some times . i deleted some painted terrain geometry. then i had 3.2 gb of filesize …
i reduced double materials and deleted the not used ones. i also tried to delete no more used , empty import links… still 3.2 GB filesize.
i deleted the animated objects sometimes and imported newly, i deleted also their “empty” import links,BUT i have the feeling that data still is hanging in twinmotion and exploding the filesize…
3.2GB filesize:---------1.2 GB filesize:
38,6 M TRI-------------46,4 M TRI
3,8 GB TEX-------------1,5 GB TEX
3,9 GB MESH-----------4,4 GB MESH
8776 OBJ---------------9090 OBJ
415 MAT-----------------563 MAT
i search for the massive explosion of texture size, but cannot be the explanation for the filesize ???
i have no further idea…
thanks for help!

PS: i have much textures shown in statistics-textures that when i click them show on the right properties side " no mesh is using this material " the material is seen in “materials” , shows used from 1 object with the “solo tick” and is therefore not deletable or the material i not seen at all in “materials” !!!
this is in my opinion a heavy bug !!

PSPS : the too big maps came with the imported animated .glb file and even if you change the object materials the old bigfat maps are forever linked in the TM file… is that intended to be like this?

PSPSPS: even if you delete the import record this problem is still there. only possibility is to delete the animates object in the scene and import again without maps. then my filesize goes surprisingly heavily back to the former value.
