TM 2022.2 Preview 1 UI problem

TM was working fine until I accidentally pressed something and the UI hid the the Windows 10 taskbar. The menubar shows a strecther double arrow at the top right corner of the UI (F11 if I'm correct) but it doesn't work, it only flicks for a split second and the TM window stays the same. F12 toggles fullscreen mode without issues but as soon as I press F12 to exit full screen the streched UI comes back and the taskbar gets hidden. I cannot resize the TM window but only in fullscreen mode and it's hard to work like this because I toggle a lot between Sketchup and TM and other windows.

Please advise on how to revert this

Hi ,

This happens because the window is restored down and the title bar is off the screen.

There are some ways to move the window in this situation:

  • Hold down Alt+Space-bar and then press the M key too. Let go of all the keys.
  • Alternatively, you can also hold Shift down and right-click on the program’s icon in the taskbar, and select Move. This may require some attempts for the pop up window to show up.
    • You will see your mouse cursor transform into a 4-way arrow and place itself over the window’s title bar.
    • Now use the arrow keys of your keyboard to relocate or move the window.
    • Right-click the mouse when you have moved the window and are done.Capture

After that you can maximize the window to make it 'normal' again.

Cheers,

Francesco

Thanks for the quick reply Franceso, Unfortunately I still cannot get it back to normal. Shift + right click only hides the Windows taskbar again. Alt+spacebar+M does nothing.

I wonder if there's antoher keyboard shortcut to fix this.

Thanks anyway. Will keep trying.

EDIT: Got it!! When the TM window is maxed and the taskbar is not visible, I pressed Shift+Alt+spacebar and a menu appeared. I select Maximize and it restoreed back to normal.

Thank You!

I`m still coming back to this post remember the key combination Shift down and right-click (these work for me)

I hope this is going to be fixed ?

Shift down and right-click on the program’s icon in the taskbar, and select Maximize, work to me.

I was 4 weeks trying restore it.

Thanks, that worked! I had the same issue and I thought I`m going crazy!
