Tips For City Design

I’ve been struggling to compose a city in my map. I’ve been looking at other games and have noticed most cities (meaning sidewalk, neighboring buildings, intersecting roads, etc) are on flat planes.

I’m just wondering how some of you would go about planning and implementing cities. Do you start with roads, then sidewalks, then buildings? BSP everything first?

I personally would build them street by street -> so I start with one sidewalk/street - then I place the buildings around that - after that I add another street/sidewalk - … :smiley:

You can use the ghost town plugin for 3ds , it’s a fantastic tool. With him, you can do anything. Check some videos below
