TimeSynth and clock sync in UE5

Hi folks! Looking into which engine to use for developing a rhythm game. Graphically very simple, no major 3d or complex gameplay stuff happening, very simple graphics and creative yet not-overly-complex gameplay.

Was wondering what the current state of clock for interactive music is? I found some old threads about TimeSynth in UE4, much of the info is from 3 years ago though, experimental stuff in UE4.

If anyone has experience with rhythm games and particularly making sure there’s a stable clock for playing back music events, I would love to know what you think.

Is UE5 a good choice for developing a rhythm game with a creative ‘generative’ yet simplistic gameplay concept?
