Hi Folks,
When I choose the auto for my timeline it just stays in a straight line and does not make a smooth transition. Anything you can see from the screenshot that would affect that or something in settings maybe?

You need to make both ends auto
Yeah thats the thing they both are i click and shift clicked the other one and still ends up in a straight line.
See those blue handles on each point? This is how you modify tangents. Play with those.
Yeah im playing with those to make it smooth thats no problem. I just thought “Auto” would do it for me automatically
Like I say, auto at both ends does it…
That is what i did. Clicked one end, shift clicked the other. Right clicked and select “Auto” both dont move. I even did it with out selecting them both to be sure.
But this is what auto should do in this instance (this behaviour was inconsistent in the previous releases). It’s not different from placing a spline with 2 points. It will be a straight line until you adjust arriving / leaving tangents.
Perhaps add a third point away from the curve, and then set all to auto - it should give you a better idea of what auto does.
It won’t work after you’ve fiddled with the tangents. Probably better to just make a new curve.
I recorded it - Timeline Issue - YouTube
Let me know if its something I am doing but I cant see it
How bizarre, let me think…
What engine version?
using 4.27.1, Installing 4.26.2 again as we speak to see if the issue is there too. I deleted the BP also thinking it might be that but it wasnt.
I notice you have the tick group in the timeline, how is that?
Nothing extra I did. Did nothing to any timeline event in C++.
Works perfect in 4.26.2
Looks like it’s a 4.27.1 thing?
It must be. I’ve tried multiple projects now in 4.27.1 and it’s same issue. 4.26.2 no issue at all
