Tiling Material UVs in 3d space

I have scaled a regular cube to be 8x4x1 in scale. Is it possible to tile all sides of it showing the same sized material?

As you can see in the picture, the X-Y plane scales correctly when multiplying the UV coordinates in the material by (8,4), any Z plane gets squished. I know that world-aligned texture is an option, but this just seems like such a simple thing to get around.

You’re scaling the UVs, so the material will squish, unless you use world aligned.

What’s the common practice for solving this? Just use world aligned UVs?
