Tibeuru - Tibeuru's Enhanced Third Person Template - Basic

Tibeuru’s Enhanced Third Person Template – Basic upgrades Unreal Engine’s standard third-person template with core quality-of-life features and AAA-style camera behavior. Perfect for developers who want a more cinematic and responsive third-person experience right out of the box.

Key Enhancements:

  • Crouch and Sprint Mechanics – Adds smooth crouching and sprinting to expand movement options beyond the default walk/run.

  • AAA-Style Camera – Brings the camera closer to the player for a more immersive, cinematic feel.

  • Dynamic Camera Rotation – When idle, the camera can freely orbit the character, and player movement automatically aligns with camera direction for intuitive controls.

  • Improved Orientation – Instead of spinning 360° when moving backwards, the character respects camera direction, mimicking modern third-person games.

Ideal for:

  • Game prototypes that need polished movement quickly.

  • Indie projects or teams who want AAA-style third-person controls without starting from scratch.

Very good, but I realized that if you run and simply stop it “dry”, I think it should have a final animation of stopping abruptly like ALS or GASP… then it would be perfect.

This has a lot of cool improvements.

Could you please post a video link that demos this in the Fab page?

Thank you! Will try to implement this in future changes, I didn’t think people would use it or even know about it xD

Hi there, thank you! I recorded a video before but i forgot to post it, also i didn’t think people would actually use it, ill try to update the page with a video link

Thank you!

I really like the feel of this template but I want to migrate it into my project and it seems 5.6 broke migration of character BPs. Any chance you can lower the version? Just my opinion but I would also prefer the crouch toggle to force crouch not wait for low clearance like AAA games have been doing.

Didn’t work on my side on UE5.5, or 5.4. It says “Failed to load map! DemoMap.umap appears to be an asset file.” When I open the projec doesn’t recognize any of the assets.
