Hey everyone, I want to show you guys the game I’m working on.

The game is called Nebula: Sole Survivor, and it’s a top-down action RPG. I’m trying to bring together some elements from my favorite games, and also some original gameplay mechanics. I would describe the gameplay as “Metroid meets Zelda, in the universe of Alien”. Of course the game is it’s own thing, and has it’s own universe, that’s just a way to easily explain what I’m trying to achieve here
Anyway, enough talking. Here’s the Kickstarter link: NEBULA: SOLE SURVIVOR – Original sci-fi action RPG by Bruno de Araújo — Kickstarter
The game is also on Steam Greenlight: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=613377466
The open beta is available on both pages. To download it, just click the big yellow button. To run the game, just open the SOLESURVIVOR file in the root folder. Here’s a quick breakdown of the current controls:
- WASD to move
- E to interact (open doors, get keys, input keycodes, move stuff around)
- You can also shoot doors to open them, like in Metroid.
- Space to dodge/roll
- Hold shift to run
There’s still not a lot of mouse support for the menus, so use WASD to navigate and E to select.

If anyone here happens to be a journalist, here’s the presskit: http://brunogruber.com/presskit/sheet.php?p=nebula_sole_survivor
Thank you guys! Please send any feedback you have. Also, expect some major bugs on the beta, I’m working to fix it, but it’s still very much playable on its current state so try it out
