hello yes thank you very much
I tried this myself
the problem is that I can not run my project from the launcher

Can confirm I had the same issue today after a fresh install of Windows.
I was able to solve it with user “leighswift” his solution.

I understand perfectly the problem , is that I do not understand the user’s solution that you mention
maybe I’m making a mistake somewhere
this error happened to me when formatting my windows 10
if you can provide a video or something would be great

works like a charm, thanks !

Solved it:
At first this problem appeared when I downloaded a project from the marketplace and wanted to launch it from the hub. I just installed the correct engine for it, launched the engine and then from the engine launcher selected the project to open it. This worked for me, maybe for you too

Try this one

Then right click on the project file and open with Unreal Engine (Always).

Hi, I am also facing the same issue while opening up the project in EpicGames launcher. I am unable to locate the UnrealVersionSelector.exe as well as .uproject(in Default App settings). The file is attached for your reference. Please help me to fix this, if you have fixed it already. I am using Windows 11.

This is still a bug Epic…

This is the solution for anyone continuing to have issues! : Youtube

This worked for me too, thank you.
