Thirdperson blueprint anim choppy at slower walk speeds

When I have my AI pawn move between patrol points they used to run even though the animation (using default anim blueprint) was set to walking, so I slowed it down considerably to 150 as the max walk speed but now the animation appears choppy. Any suggestions on how this could be fixed to smooth out the animation, while not having the character ‘run’ everywhere? Thanks for your help!
