Thermal fading fooprints & enable/disable thermal view

Hi folks!

So I’m working on a project revolving around thermal view. I got the actual Post Processing effect down with 7 color, 2 color and monochrome spectrum. What I’d like to implement now is some footprints to appear in thermal view only that fade after a few seconds along with being able to turn the view on and off while in game and switching between the 7, 2 and mono views.

Any tips?
