There must be a way to merge objects into one objects!

just the idea to have infinite list of every item you have forever and end up in a painful endless list of these items is just unproductive and makes the whole process does not really worse it. Like there should be an option to collapse/merge multiple object into one after I am done with materials!

this should be common sense or at least the option to lock a group so you never select a sub-object unless you unlock the whole group.

If you haven't already, I suggest you request the lock a group feature on the roadmap. It's not always ideal, but I just use 'collapse all' when importing a model so I don't have that endless list.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out in the community. As mentioned, a great way to provide this feedback to our development staff is through the Twinmotion Public Roadmap by using the +Submit Idea button. Doing so, you can include feedback on how you would like to see these features incorporated and their importance to you.

In the meantime, along with Collapse All, I would like to also recommend importing the model using Collapse by Material, as this will merge all objects that use a shared material into one object when imported into Twinmotion. Collapse All can be used to even further minimize the number of objects imported into the scene, merging all imported objects in to one.

Similarly, when you have the same material applied to multiple objects, you can switch to "Replace Material" to apply a new material to multiple objects that use the shared material. This would not merge the objects themselves, though would allow you to quickly edit the materials for objects that are using a shared material.

ReplaceMaterial

Best Regards,
