It really seems like unreal engine 4,but is udk.You think that a person like me whit no too expeencie in graphics could make scenes whit this qiuality?
UE4 has a much improved lighting engine than UDK, it also has things like reflections.
However, if you have no experience you’re not going to get to that level any time soon. It’s several things you need to learn like modeling, texturing, materials, and lighting.
I second this post. I’ve learning Blueprint for two weeks now and I can make any games I can possibly do on Blueprint. Hell I can even make a DayZ game on Unreal Engine 4 because it supports large map and all I have to do is learn how to use a 3D program, Image editor, Foley artist, etc… because game developing isn’t just programming and modelling there’s a whole other **** people neglect for an indie game developer who’s doing it solo.
What makes Unreal Engine 4 so great is:
Its cheap! $19 cancel or subscribe to get the latest upgrades and if you do cancel you keep your Engine and the previous one for a price of $19.
Blueprint is super-EASY to learn and it follows C++ guidelines so migrating to C++ would be make learning easier to understand.
Companies are no sprawling in to help indie game developers: Mixamo (Fuse), SpeedTree, Autodesk (Maya/3ds ), and modders selling their services for UE4 developers.
05% Royalty Fee perfect for indie game developers its great because I could be selling a game for $10.99 and pay Epic $0.55 per sales I make.
Also I migrated from Ogre3D and OpenGL six months before I found out about UE4 and since Ogre3D is using pure C++ it just makes migrating to a new Engine so much easier. EpicGames should really acquire the rights to Ogre3D because its OpenSource and perfect for new developers to get into C++ programming in game developing. If you don’t intend using UE4 and looking for cheaper or FREE option and just browsing through please give Ogre3D a chance I’m also supporting them once I get familiar with C++
