Same, but i wait for this and 2 weeks more to see some customer reviews. Do not trust hype and “professional” ie bribed game journalists/portals.
Last 2 witchers were great, i hope this will be also.
And I did read all Sapkowski novels, witcher game managed to transfer that atmosphere over to game world, that is huge plus for CD-Project.
Now mr Jackson, pleas stop toying with Tolken, and gimme Witcher movies!

I trust CD Projekt. While W3 is undoubtedly ambitious. I trust them to fix any bugs in the first release of the game.
I trust them so much I have pre ordered via Steam and GOG

If it’s like the transition from witcher 1 to witcher 2, you don’t HAVE to but it will be a better experience. The main storyline in the witcher 2 doesn’t touch the witcher 1, but you don’t know the characters, the backstory to the world, references to previous games, etc. It is not mandatory but it is nice.

I personally havent played witcher 1 but instead I directly started with witcher 2 and somehow I never felt lost in the story, so you dont necessarily have to play all parts (I think it will be the same witch wichter 3)

No, you don’t have to play the previous games at all. There will be short intro anyway
