The window to log in to the account does not appear in the browser after trying to log in to your account in the application

I tried a bunch of things, the window in the browsers all won’t pop up and I can’t log into my account through the app to export my model. Please help me solve the problem
I have attached screenshots below

This is a bug we are currently working on:
Here are 5 possible fixes how some of users fixed the problem (the same workaround doesn’t work for everybody)

FIX 1
Uninstall the older version of RealityCapture, and make sure that everything connected to that version is being removed. Those files from the previous versions
Although I had uninstalled the older version of RC it seems like my PC still kept some old stuff and just installed the new version into that folder. Those files from the older versions seem to mess with the timestamps.
Delete everything you can find from Epic Games and older RC-versions and re-install it again.

FIX 2
Remove the device from the Domain Controller and uninstall it and remove it from the registry, after new installation and online activation it may work.

The time may be a problem because it can be managed by the organization and I can be different from the official time in 1 sec approx.

FIX 3
Make it like a clean install (hold CTRL + Shift and run RC, then choose Make it like a clean install) and use Offline activation.

FIX 4
Check if RCNode.exe is blocked by system firewall. Then go to RC install folder and start RCNode - Windows show firewall notification and accept it for all networks. Additionally you can start RC as admin and in general settings do license change -> application owner resign in, also charge for offline use sign in again.

FIX 5
This issue might be connected to some really old files located in the C:\Program Files\Capturing Reality
Please try to uninstall RealityCapture then head to C:\Program Files\Capturing Reality and delete everything you will find about RealityCapture also in ProgramData, AppData, and Windows registry. Then restart your PC and try to install RealityCapture again and run the same test.

These are some of the fixes which were reported by our users, and they helped them. Please try them out and come back to me.

tried everything and the problem is still not solved

There is one more possible fix: Rebooting (and allowing Windows to apply an update).

Are you able to log into your account under this site: https://www.capturingreality.com/My ?

Are you logged as anonymous? Can you click on question mark in upper right site in the application and show me what it says?

Are you able to log in the Epic Games account here: https://www.epicgames.com/id/login/epic?redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.epicgames.com%2Fstore%2Fen-US%2F&client_id=875a3b57d3a640a6b7f9b4e883463ab4 ?

I can log in to https://www.capturingreality.com/My and epic games

Here’s a screenshot

As you can see, you are logged as anonymous.

Please, go to Workflow tab/Application/Settings/Licenses/Change application owner and Sign in with Epic Games there. Is it possible to do so?

If this won’t work, can you please try this workflow: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015580779-Activate-the-application-in-a-PPI-mode-using-command-line-interface?

I created a file with a .bat extension and it can’t be opened

I threw in a key file that I was given from the site with the format .txt

How can I solve the problem with the login window not opening in the browser?

Hi, I think you need to allow to stat the BAT files on your computer. Somehow like this:

  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.
  3. Type the following command to run a Windows 10 batch file and press Enter: C:\PATH\TO\FOLDER\BATCH-NAME.bat. In the command, make sure to specify the path and name of the script.

Then try to open the BAT file again.

Can you describe step by step what you did? It seems, that you were able to open PPI version. Is it still as anonymous?

What happened, when you click on Try again?

If you are not able to do so, make sure to have Internet Explored on your PC, and up to date (not Microsoft Edge). Please navigate to your Internet Explorer settings (regardless of which browser you actually use). Under its SECURITY tab you can find the TRUSTED SITES menu. Add https://www.capturingreality.com and https://capturingreality.com, and hit OK to apply.

Also make sure that the communication with capturingreality.com and www.capturingreality.com is enabled on ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) in your firewall.

Also, please reset all zones zones to default level as it is on this image (there you can see the option for adding trusted sites):

If you are logged in RC under your account, you will also need to have created PIN: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020461700-How-to-use-PPI-with-Epic-Games-account-
