In a world 10,800 years from now, two curious aliens, Zora and Xenon, stumble upon the remnants of humanity’s past. As they explore the mysteries of ancient Buddha and Bodhisattva statues, they unearth profound wisdom that transcends time and space.
The profound question is, 10,000 years from now, if humanity no longer exists, what will be left for extraterrestrial beings? Will it be wealth? Will it be power? Will it be fame? Or will it be the wisdom of sages?
This question guides us to reflect on our own life goals and values. In the world we live in today, what is truly important? Perhaps, it’s not the pursuit of wealth, power, or fame, but rather how we influence the world, how we use our wisdom and good deeds to change society, and how we find greater meaning in our limited lives.
The wisdom of sages teaches us to cultivate inner harmony and seek moral and spiritual growth. This may be more valuable than the pursuit of material wealth because it can endure forever, transcending the boundaries of time and space, influencing the evolution of the world.
Furthermore, Earth’s natural heritage reminds us to protect the environment and maintain ecological balance. This not only affects our current lives but also the survival of future generations. Therefore, caring for the Earth and its natural wonders is also an important value.
Hence, if we contemplate these questions, we may find more meaningful and profound life goals. It’s not just about pursuing personal interests but also working for the well-being of humanity and the Earth as a whole. This may be the most precious legacy we leave for future generations and the purpose of our own lives.
