By default, this should / would generate a hit. If the onComponentHit
does not trigger, it would indicate some kind of collision issue. Hard to tell what, though - we would need to know more about the character and the cube.
- do we actually jump high enough for the capsule to hit the cube?
- how are you jumping? What actually makes the capsule move?
Not sure what else to ask about, tbh. You could DM me a project link if you want me to have a closer look.
Or, at least, consider posting the collision settings of the capsule and the static mesh component we’re supposed to hit.
Other than that, it’s a guessing game. At least as far as my understanding of what is going on is concerned.
One thing that stands out is the name of the track:
Those screenshots come from 2 different blueprints or the track was renamed. If you’re certain you’re testing it all with the correct actor, this could be irrelevant - the track might have been renamed later on.
