The Time I Have Left — a time-driven escape adventure RPG

“In 6 hours you will be dead. It is fated to be. Even so, is there anything you’d like to do before the end?”

Hi, everyone!
We are Ground Game Atelier, the tiny indie studio behind The Time I Have Left, a time-driven exploration game with RPG elements and a big focus on storytelling.

As fans of JRPGs, we wanted to give a spin to the classic formula while still keeping a nostalgic flair (we are looking at you, fixed camera angles).

And what exactly is this twist we’re talking about? We wanted the narrative to be interwoven with the combat system: Instead of expanding your battle tool set by leveling up, you will be rewarded with new skills for exploring the world of The Time I Have Left. Of course, the basic skill set will be unlocked as you progress through the story and you can raise your stats by just leveling up. However, if you want to be truly unbeatable, don’t leave any stone unturned during your exploration!


:diamonds: STORY

Left as the seemingly sole inhabitant of the underground city of Colony 7, Aline is suddenly marked for death by a mysterious phenomenon known as ‘The Miasma’. In a race against the clock, Aline tries to escape from the enormous complex while she suffers from disturbing visions of death presented in the form of turn-based combat.






:diamonds: GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is based on 3 pillars:

  • EXPLORATION: Search every nook and cranny to find information to help you navigate Colony 7. Find clues, solve environmental puzzles, unlock hidden areas, and secure your escape!

  • REACTIVE TURN-BASED COMBAT: Face grotesque visions of death in a dynamic turn-based combat system. You will need to time your movements well to evade directional attacks. Master your foes’ patterns to escape unharmed! New abilities are unlocked as you uncover clues and complete the in-game database.

  • NARRATIVE: While exploring, you will unlock clues that will help you uncover the hidden truth behind Colony 7, Aline, and the Miasma. As you complete the database, you will also learn new combat skills.

Every element of this looks to be right up my alley. Turn based combat, RPG, AND super cool looking creatures - amazing. It’s the story, however, that really caught my attention. Is there currently any estimate for a release date?

We’re currently searching for a publisher, so unfortunately we don’t have a release date estimate yet :frowning: We’re a really small self-funded team, but we’re trying our best :muscle:
