I use audio component to play a sound wave. However once the program is running in the background, the sound will be lost playing in both editor and packaged program. How can program play the sound when it is running in the background.
Any luck with this one? I’m looking for a way to do the same thing too.
There’s an editor setting for Allow Background Audio, is there nothing similar that can be used for actual packaged games?
There are any number of scenarios where it would be useful to not have the game become muted when tabbed out, and it seems like this behaviour can cause certain audio loops to just stop (at least with the old audio engine, haven’t upgraded to the new one just yet).
Edit: after a little digging I found this post relating to the conundrum, there’s apparently an engine setting you can configure to adjust the volume when the program is in the background.
It works for me.

It is not a solution, it is some raw redundant poop.
Intuitive solution anyone would expect - single node in Blueprint.
1/5 for Epic on this one.
