I was working on the creation of a mansion on Unreal Engine. To model it, I used the mod “modeling”. I then used the “edit materials” option in “mesh attributes”.
When I clicked on the Accept button, the materials were restored to the way they were before my changes. The message displayed at the top was: “the selected component has different material set than the underlying asset. Esset materials are shown.” I tried everything I could, but I couldn’t solve the problem. Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone know more about this than I do? Thanks
I´ve solved that by going to mesh Materials (bottom right corner on your screenshot) and pressed the back arrow button (reset to default state) of each Element

Yup, I was encountering this issue last night and earlier today. Very frustrating. But the other response to your question worked for me (resetting all the individual material properties to default). Everything is back to normal now.
That worked for me. Thanks a million!
This message informs you that the component’s material set is different from what is applied to the main asset, and therefore, the main asset’s materials are displayed.
