The [ProjectName]Editor.target file does not exist. Would you like to build the editor?

How do I fix this. If I hit “Yes” I get the message:

[ProjectName] could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually.

???

I don’t have any custom C++ or anything. And this started when something I hit tried to bring up a VS that was expired, and it wouldn’t allow it to open. Ever since then I’ve had this every time I try to open this project. If I tell it NOT to build the editor, the project opens just fine. But I’d like to get rid of this since it’s annoying.

Thanks.

(I did a search for this error, but didn’t see any questions or responses.)

Similar problem:

“The LiveLinkHub.target file does not exist. Would you like to build the editor?”
Related to livelink (or maybe Fab) plugin.
When turning them off, the error message disappears.
Turning the plugins on again, the messages show up again.
“Yes” leads to the same error message as mentioned above.
“No”: i can open my project - but there is no explanation on how to fix the problem.
