The new update allows us to animate but how do I do that?

I can’t find any tutorial on the subject. How do I create an animation in the animation editor?

Unfortunately there is currently no tutorial about that topic on the internet, but you can see a short description/explanation on this site: https://.unrealengine/showthread.php?59923-Unreal-Engine-4-7-Released! (middle of the first post)

Yeah I’ve seen that but I think Im too dumb to understand what they are saying. I just want to what editor to open to be able to animate. The only thing I have done so far is to a) Change skeleton (This is really easy so if I just could add “ticks” or animation frames it would be sooo easy!) and b) record an animation in real time while I desperately try to change the skeleton fast enough. I cant figure out how to slow down or pause the recording.

Could you give me ANY clue on where to click on the editor to start making animations? I’m just stuck as of now… :frowning:

There was a support stream on twitch about the anim-edit functions in detail…but I can’t remember exactly the date.

There is a live stream

This showed how to use the new persona system.

I’m going by memory of watching this twitch stream but I’m pretty sure they said that currently there is no way now or planned for the immediate future to create animations from scratch in the editor. However, what you can do starting in 4.7 is add curve layers in persona so that if you have a character running with a rifle you can do things like if he was always looking forward, manipulate the animation so his head would look around while the rest of the animations remain the same.
