The new favorited map data exposed a massive flaw...

After seeing today’s update and seeing map favorites, it made me question something.

Why aren’t players seeing updates from the maps they’ve favorited?

That’s a failure of the system.

You tell creators to build a following, we did.
Those favorites are our following.
However, instead you expect players to dig through one of the worst UIs Fortnite has ever had to find the projects they already chose to support.

There are already rows for “Favorited Creators.”
It’s time to actually make these rows actually beneficial to all creators.

Those rows should represent ALL FAVORITES.

If you’re going to surface favorites, then surface all favorites.
Creators and maps.

There is absolutely no reason this shouldn’t have existed already.
The lack of vision here is honestly disappointing.

Do better, Fortnite Creative.

This totally makes sense! Seems expected.

Definitely seems weird. I reckon a % of the older maps players don’t actively play anymore tbh.

so many flaws like this that have massive impacts on anyone trying to build momentum in this ecosystem. things like this and really the way lobbies are done just don’t help us.

the “reason” just seems to be about control of what is seen and what isn’t, discovery dependence, and so sponsored row dependence. everything is geared towards depending on their choice to show you or not rather than it being up to the players what is shown. every 3 months it just feels like a reset, search gets a little more manipulated and your slowly built momentum is wiped out by yet another micro change. its just getting typical at this point they don’t seem to care till they are called out loudly.

I’d say there shouldn’t be rows with just creator icons (like favorited creators or popular creators in your region). Those just have no meaning for players. Instead if you favorite a creator it should promote all his maps to you when they are released or updated, as well as show them in a Favorited row/tab. Kinda like subscribing on YouTube.
