I wanted to reproduce the atmosphere of a cover of those old sci-fi books that came out around 1970-80. Loved that feeling.
I come from 15 years on Unsomethingy else, moved to UE5 because of Nanite and Lumen: these two features are a dream coming true.
I’m on UE5 for only 1 month while learning everything from scratch.
All the map blocks are made in Blender procedurally using Geometry Nodes, as well as the orb structure.
In the end, I couldn’t make a decent video because I found a bug (or at least I think it’s a bug) in the Sequencer: the camera on rail mangled the rotation data in the keyframes after some working.
So I had to record a video from standard gameplay in Editor.
Well I see there’s plenty hugely better stuff around, so not a big loss lol.
