We are excited to announce that we just released our first game demo, The Legend of Karl! It’s a 2.5D hack and slash platformer where you play as Karl, one of the few remaining human to fight against the clan of spirits from another world.
We are a small Hong Kong indie game development team, new to Unreal Engine 4 and game development, but passionate at learning to make games! After 6 months of development, we decided to release it early and hopefully acquire sincere feedbacks from our player.

I really enjoyed the gameplay. I understand that this is only a demo, however there are some issues as I played the game. The beginning was cool with the dialogue, but there is a rock on the left wall that you can jump on. If you jump from that wall again you will trigger the intro dialogue again. There are some heavy load times during the level which caused my cpu to lag severely. Last but not least I did not seem to find a keybind command available to switch to your little buddy. Grea game though, simple yet stylish.
