The "Launch session don't work for me"

Hello, I’d like to know if any of you have ever encountered an issue that prevents you from launching a session. Basically, as soon as I launch the session, once I arrive on the map or in the creative zone, the session launch is canceled, indicating that the editor is no longer online.

I checked if this issue was present on other maps of mine, not just on one.

Have you ever encountered a similar bug?

Any advice?

Heya.

Run the Validate Project in the Launch Session 3 dot menu, see what that comes up with.

Are you using World Streaming ?

There’s a few reasons why this happens, the validate project will find anything obvious.
If it’s not finding anything then we can troubleshoot further

I’ve already done this, and no results, nothing in the message log, nor a change in the bug
And yes, i use world streaming

OK World Streaming test, make a new Miscellaneous>HLOD Layer in the Content Browser and drag it onto the Default HLOD layer slots in World Settings.
Do not build HLODs, keep it empty and try to Launch.
If your launch is successful it’s a HLOD layer issue
If your launch is unsuccessful it’s something else, try then unchecking World Streaming in World Settings and launch.
Successful Launch, it’s most likely an issue with something to do with spatially loaded things
Unsuccessful launch, it’s something else, like an invalid reference in a device or verse… or a rogue prop.

How did you go ?

I have already disabled world streaming, so I don’t think that doing a test by creating another one changes anything, and there is no device, no verse that poses a problem, I have already checked everywhere, the session is simply canceled, it is marked that the session has « time out »

OK, so no other things like Post Process Volume, custom Materials etc, just props.

From here, I would usually Check-in Changes and make a snapshot.
Then trial and error, delete stuff, test, restore the snapshot, delete other stuff, test.
Once you have isolated the problem(s) you can restore the snapshot and fix or delete the problem.

in fact I’m doing an update of one of my maps, so the entire map, is not concerned, I’ve already archived, deleted, tried again, put snapshots back, nothing works, there is no error, nor any information that could potentially say that it is the fault of one of my actions on the map, I have no idea where it comes from, I do tons of tests by eliminating what could potentially interfere, but nothing. each time, it only marks an error message that says there was a network error, but it does not come from me either since on other maps, I do not encounter this problem, I saw other people who had this problem in the FN creative discord, it seems to be a problem

coming from epic game

Thats a shame, hopefully an update fixes it otherwise migrating it to a new project could be an option.

A failed snapshot restoration… could also mean something is lurking in your project folder that revision control is missing, have you tried moving your project folder away from the Fortnite Projects folder and restoring a snapshot into a clean empty folder ?

I translate all the sentences because I am French, and I realized that some sentences are badly translated, but the snapshot worked, but it did not solve the problem. After the technique that you propose to me scares me in advance because I am not used to doing that, I am afraid of making a mistake

it does sound scary but making snapshots will keep your project safe online, it is similar to downloading your project onto a new PC

Also moving the project folder will keep it safe somewhere else on your PC until your comfortable enough to delete it
