Hi there @RomarioDev,
Hope you’re well
Absolutely obsessed with the art style and environment design so far The combat movement also seems pretty fluid and impactful. Are there currently plans for the animations to have spell effects or will it mainly just be character movement?
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m thrilled you’re enjoying the art style and environment design—I’ve been putting a lot of love into those aspects as a solo developer. As for the animations, there are plans to include spell effects! The character movement is the foundation, but I’m working on adding that extra layer of visual flair to bring the abilities to life. Stay tuned; I’ve got some exciting updates coming!
Hello again @RomarioDev !
I’m so excited to see more development on The Last Knight of Camelot!
So far the animations feel pretty clean. I love the one that seems to be for an ability with our character bouncing back and forth. However, watching the initial attack animation, will there be any generic combo-style build-ups? Nothing overly flashy but just a showcase of the sword’s momentum with back to back attacks with slightly ramping damage.
Thank you so much for your excitement and support for The Last Knight of Camelot!
I’m glad you’re enjoying the animations so far, especially the ability with the character bouncing back and forth—it’s one of my favorites too!
As for your question about generic combo-style build-ups: yes, that’s something I’m exploring. The plan is to incorporate smooth, momentum-driven combos that feel satisfying and rewarding without being too over-the-top. Each strike will connect fluidly to the next, with a subtle ramp-up in intensity to showcase the weight and power of the sword. It’s definitely an area I’m working on fine-tuning to make sure it complements the overall combat flow.
