I just Googled ‘why isn’t there a NASA satellite on jupiter’ and just found out that NASA launched the Juno spacecraft in 2011 for Jupiter.
It’s going to orbit and beam back hi res pics in just 9 weeks time! I’m so amazed

I actually made a simple project with the Juno spacecraft in UE4
It was just for learning matinee and post processing and stuff^^
Anyways I can’t wait to see what we will see when Juno enters the orbit.
Galileo started orbiting Jupiter in 1995, and that mission ended in 2003 - so Juno isn’t the first either
Even if it’s not the first one, thanks for sharing the link.
Here you can see where Juno is: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/juno/where
Oh man I need to play Kerbal Space Program again
