The images do not become a single image after mask creation.

I’m creating a chair, but even after creating a mask of the top and bottom photos and importing them (they’re separated into upper and lower half folders), aligning them doesn’t result in a single object. I hope someone can help me here.

The version is 2.1.

Hi @ANDY911217 , the most likely reason is that there isn’t enough overlap between the images taken from the top and the bottom. The usual solution is to do an extra set or sets of images somewhere in between. This extra set of images should see an area of the chair that is visible from the top and bottom images.

BTW, I’m not sure if you are using the AI masking feature, but if you are, there is no need to separate images into folders. All the images can be loaded into RS in one go and launch the AI masking tool, and it will generate the masks for you. Of course, AI masking isn’t always 100% accurate, but if you photograph your subject on a single-color background, it does a good job.

Thank you for your reply. I tried to capture the entire area, both above and below, but it didn’t work out. (I also created a mask.) Is it a problem with how I’m taking the pictures? For reference, I’ve attached images of the top and bottom for your review.
