"The following proccess has crashed: UE4-EpicGamesLauncher

Well, I wanted to test out the Unreal Engine because it has gone free, so I signed up and downloaded the launcher. The 1st installation was all fine without any issues, I was also able start the launcher without any problems. After I downloaded the engine though, the Epic Games Launcher gave me an error, which looks like this;

However, I then tried to re install the program by firstly removing the launcher from my PC. During that process, the “Unreal Engine 4 Crash Reporter” showed up another time although I was removing the program instead of starting it (same error).
Anyways, as I tried to re install the Launcher, the Crash Reporter was there again right after the direct-x installation, which I assume failed because the dialogue, which I had in my first installation, did not show up.
Since then I was not able to install the launcher properly - I tried different hard drives (one SSD and one normal HD). My system also meets the recommended requirements.
Any help is appreciated :wink:

Hi MorusLP,

First, make sure that your graphics card driver is up to date and that you are not using a beta driver. They can sometimes be unstable.

Then if the issue is still present, please post your dxdiag (system specs) and Log files. You’re hardware may meet our requirements but this allows us to see if you have software and drivers that maybe necessary for installation.

Follow the steps in this section of the troubleshooting guide to find the log files.

My graphics card driver is up to date and is not a beta one, so here are the 2 requested files. link text link text

Sounds like you may have an issue with DirectX though your installer log is really short. Check out this link and try the accepted answer down below and see if that fixes your issue. If not let us know and we’ll go from there.
